The first City Park in Rock Falls, Veterans Memorial Park (formerly known as Triangle Park), was established to memorialize, commemorate and properly recognize our veterans – past, present and future – for their contributions to the protection of our nation and its citizens, as well as the preservation of freedom throughout the world. We see the Memorial Park as a dignified place where veterans, civic organizations and our schools may hold events and where individuals may come and reflect.  With that in mind, the City of Rock Falls has chosen the Tourism Department to manage the park and promote its use.  Veteran’s Memorial Park would be greatly enriched by your organization’s participation and utilization of the facilities.  We invite you to join us as we hope to make Veterans Memorial Park a center stage venue in our community.

Beyond creating an enjoyable place for residents to relax and visit with friends and families, we see Veterans Memorial Park as a very positive place to celebrate the community spirit of Rock Falls and our appreciation for all Veterans who have given so much for our town and our country.

The beautifully shaded park contains dedicated monuments to all of the Veterans of Rock Falls who fought to keep our country free. It measures about 1 acre and has a fully lit band shell.  Please contact Rock Falls Tourism or stop by the tourism office to let us know if your group wishes to utilize Veterans Memorial Park.

The Veteran’s Memorial Park Band Shell was dedicated by Mayor Pignatelli in August of 1959.
